Self-taught artist, William Scott creates works with remarkable precision, always detail-oriented. He draws, paints and rebuilds his hometown, San Francisco. Scott’s “Frisco” is a place where his public, nostalgic, seeks salvation, where relationships with others are peaceful and where the architecture and geography of neighborhoods are idealized. He also represents the epitome of African-American beauty with his portraits of figures from the show business or simply neighbours and acquaintances. He works at the art studio of Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland.
