LÜDDEMANN ralf

[1964, Allemagne]

Ralf Lüddemann trained as an orthopedic mechanic, a profession he practiced for six years, before becoming a flight instructor and then a paragliding instructor. In 1995, he opened a hang-gliding school. After falling ill, he was admitted to a psychiatric unit and had to stop his activity. After his release, he moved to Lanzarote in 2004, where he still lives today. In 2012, he met the artist Lukas Marxt. A deep connection then united them, and together they made the film Ralfs Farben (Ralf’s Colors, DE / AT 2019, 74 min). Following this experience, in 2017, Lüddemann began creating digital works. Using the grid of pixels, he claims to be able to interpret and justify past and future events—a codification known only to him. He believes himself responsible for the ordering of the world. A “king,” he can travel through time, both into the future and the past.
