Fumihiro Endo lives in Fukuoka. At the age of 20, he began developing a passion for books he made by hand. He first created miniature magazines that he called “Maboroshi-magajin nansensu” (magazine of disturbed ghosts), each illustrated with manga, excerpts from novels, news clippings, and so on. He produced 99 of them in two years. A few years later, he continued his publishing with a novel based on the story of his colleagues at the pharmaceutical wholesale company where he worked. Later, he began producing what he called “Kanren Moso” (associative delusions), collections of his daily life; these compile printed materials such as restaurant receipts, cut-out photographs of celebrities, film booklets—everything that feeds his daily life and passions. He brings all these elements together to create original stories. He has a deep admiration for Nobumasa Kushino (director of the Kushino Terrace gallery) and follows him whenever possible, documenting in his books—through collages of photos, flyers, and other materials—this relationship that is dear to him. Married and then divorced, he now lives alone and works in a supermarket.
