CHUCHO (luis de jesus SOTORRIOS FABREGAS, known as)

[1938, Guantanamo, Cuba]

From the age of four, Luis de Jesús Sotorrios Fabregas—known as Chucho to his friends—suffered from frequent epileptic seizures. He attended school only briefly, just long enough to learn how to write, read, and count, before returning to his parents’ farm to work.
Chucho claimed to have been abducted by extraterrestrials on several occasions. Beginning in 2000, he started documenting his observations. For example, he wrote that on other planets there are civilizations inhabited by beings similar to humans.
He compiled and accumulated hundreds of meticulously detailed texts on all kinds of papers in various formats. He also added clinico-anatomical descriptions of diseases to this body of work, particularly focusing on arterial hypertension. Chucho kept his notes stored in suitcases.
