Pascal Cornélis has been attending La « S » Grand Atelier since 2007. He initially turned to painting, exploring color through portraits with vivid and controlled lines. In 2012, as part of the Ave Luïa project, he produced a series of portraits entitled “oculi débonnaires,” which could easily find their place in some Romanesque churches. Engraving then strengthened his approach to portraiture, his incisive lino-cut lines evoking expressionism. Through monotype and carbon paper transfer, he fully developed his artistic potential, giving his works a vibrant and narrative dimension. His work, centered on the body and movement, reveals a particular sense of rhythm despite his deafness and muteness. Between 2019 and 2022, he also distinguished himself in performance as part of the Post Animale collective.
