DOMINIQUE ernest

[? - Haïti]

The life of Ernest Dominique remains shrouded in mystery. An enigmatic figure of the Haitian intellectual scene, he was both an artist and a thinker, while being actively involved in Freemasonry. A respected member of the 30th degree of a local lodge, he was frequently honored with the title of “Venerable Mason.”
His drawings, deeply influenced by this affiliation, abound in spiritual references: Hahasiah, an angel of healing, wisdom, and spiritual knowledge, known for guiding those who seek to uncover profound truths or reveal hidden secrets; Sandalphon, a major figure in Jewish mystical and Kabbalistic tradition, also mentioned in certain apocryphal and esoteric texts; and Ariel, whose Hebrew name “Ari’el” means “Lion of God.”
But his creations are not limited to the artistic domain: Ernest Dominique also used them in an attempt to predict lottery results, thus giving rise to a body of work that is both singular and fascinating.
