Perhaps inspired by the many trips he made with his father all around the country, Dong-Hyun Kim draws cars from an early age. As a young adult he enriched his universe by producing maps of railways and subways. He also draws trains and stations, which he describes in detail in his notebooks. His productions include the names of real places and characters but also imaginary spaces and stories. This mixture of reality and imagination gives his work a lot of humor. He currently works as a high school assistant librarian and spends all his free time drawing, since 2011 he joined “Raw + side” an art studio.
