Art brut, collection abcd / Bruno Decharme . La maison rouge

art brut – collection abcd / Bruno Decharme, exh. cat. [Paris, La maison rouge, 18th October 2014 – 18th  January 2015], Lyon, Fage éditions and Paris, La maison rouge, 2014.

For their twelfth exbition of a private collection, La maison rouge presented the largest private collection of art brut, that of Bruno Decharme. Conceived by Bruno Decharme and Antoine de Galbert, she exhibition has been organized based on themes (Mental Cartographies, Scientific Heterotopias, Blood and Fury, Dizziness of the Flesh, Celestial Epics etc.), a journey of twelve phases guiding the visitor in a body of works still little known and kept out of the history of art for a long time; the catalogue follows this course. A conversation between Bruno Decharme, Antoine de Galbert and Paula Aisemberg, an essay on collectors of art brut by Barbara Safarova and the presentation of Hans-Jörg Georgi and the atelier Goldstein by Christiane Cuticchio complete the book.
