Born in a working class environment, Marco Raugei went to school for five years, but judged unsuitable, he was placed in various medical and educational institutions. Since 1986, he attended La Tinaia in Florence. He always speaks when he draws, often chanting incomprehensible incantations and alternating different voices. His graphic style is mostly marked by regularly repeated motives. He only draws objects or figures from his everyday life and only stops once the sheet has been entirely filled.
