After graduation, Terao Katsuhiro began working as a welder at his father’s metalworking business, where he stayed for the next 20 years. His job must have deeply affected him because he seems to worship steel and collects pieces of metal on his daily walks. He keeps a journal of his expeditions in the form of sketches and drawings representing objects he might build from these pieces. He also makes steel sculptures. Lately he has attended Atelier Incurve.
