Following a delusional crisis during which she cut her clothes into pieces before sewing them up again, Karoline spent a year in the psychiatric hospital of Gugging (1965-1966) where, supported by Pr Navratil, she began to draw. She particularly liked the representation of genitalia and figures in childlike style.
