This cobbler respectful of traditions and rites lives today with his family in a slum in Pune, India. Thirty years ago, he was left for dead after a car accident and saved in extremis in the morgue. Since then, every night, in a small room that he has reserved for himself, he draws, mainly with black or blue ballpoint pen, characters from great Indian epics, as well as some notable political figures working to improve the living conditions of the people from lower castes.
