When he was 23, Yasuyuki Ueno began to create subtle drawings and collages at the Corners art center, focusing on the objects of his desire: fashion, luxury goods, and women shopping. He says that he feels like a woman and that all the women in his drawings are basically an embodiment of his own person – their faces all possess his features.
