Alexandre Lobanov et l’art brut en Russie
Can we speak of art brut in Russia? This book attempts to answer this controversial question by treating two different aspects, historical and stylistic. It is through the analysis of resistant works created in the closely watched Soviet society – in particular those by Alexander Lobanov – that Régis Gayraud and Jean-Louis Lanoux, show, each in their own way, the strength of artistic expression that defies history.
