Near Sainte-Anne Hospital, an abandoned cardboard box escapes oblivion. Inside, there are around a hundred drawings and several notebooks covered in coded messages, enigmatic visions, and obsessive references to French history.
By taking hold of this unexpected archive, Manuel Anceau discovers that it is the work of a certain André Jean Maillaud. Together with Barbara Safarova, they then embark on a long-term investigation to piece together the scattered fragments of a creation that had remained in the shadows. Gradually, the path of this mysterious author is reconstructed, revealing a singular universe haunted by figures from the past, where history, imagination, and a search for meaning are deeply intertwined.
