As a teenager, Theo Wagemann spent most of his time smuggling in the village in which he grew up. One day he was surprised by the customs officers who shot at him. This incident marked him and he gradually withdrew into himself. He managed to escape the Nazi program of extermination of the mentally ill thanks to his family doctor, he was however sterilized. He began accumulating waste in his room, a situation that pushed his family to have him committed. At the age of sixty-one, he started to draw extensively, mainly representations of Hitler and the Nazis. His drawings are accompanied by slogans combined with series of numbers indicating the years, all associated with the Third Reich. His iconographic universe also refers to biblical scenes or fairy tales.
