Vlasta Kodrikova was born and raised in a family that  — for two generations — had been closely linked to spiritualism. Married, a homemaker, she raised her children. The first period of her creative activity began before their birth, between 1950 and 1960. Her drawings, signed by Vlasta Kodrikova as “Tulak” (Vagabond), represent amoebic forms or various geometric flat shapes, often with ornamental details. Interrupted by motherhood, she started to draw again, creating monochrome figures of perfect symmetry, purely geometric, linear, and developing personal ornamentation.
