For a time Muriel Haddad was placed in an institution, but her parents prefered to keep her home. Her work has two faces, one more colourful and vivid, the other dark and dramatic. She has a preference for gouache. Her drawings are full of flowers, fathers and mothers, perhaps brothers and sisters. Sometimes appears the word “ma.” At first, when she started drawing, she detached her drawings from her notebook, folded them and hid them in a bag which she refused to reveal to anyone and carried with her everywhere. Today, she loves to show her drawings and offers them freely.
