Fabienne Gilson lives in the center of Hemptinne (a residential center for adults with severe mental impairment) and frequents a art studio where she can paint and draw. Her graphic production presents two recurring themes: figures and homes. Fabienne Gilson seems to use certain “signs” as if it were the letters of an alphabet or a vocabulary of her own, in an infinite enumeration. Sometimes she adds a comment to her drawing in a calligraphy the meaning of which belongs only to her.
