We have no information about this author whose 60 collages were assembled in a family-type album on the cover of which we can read “Birgit”. Created in the early 1970s the collages were mounted on pages of Dutch newspapers or on the backs of printed notepad sheets from the University of Amsterdam. All of them represent sexually dominant women stimulated by submissive men who indulge in onanism or the pleasure of humiliation. Most show these women holding a glass and a bottle of Chianti or Bordeaux in their hands. These sadomasochistic situations are staged in sophisticated, theatrical interior settings or in fantastic or exotic landscapes of deserts or the sea.
