Edward Leedskalnin was born in Latvia. Following a heartache, he immigrated to the USA. In memory of his lost love, for 28 years he erected a castle in a deserted area. Bothered by the construction of a nearby house, he moved 16 km away. For 3 years, during the night, he would disassemble and rebuild his monument. In 1951, he put on his door “left for hospital.” He died three days later.
